My loved one isn't receiving calls or texts
If check-ins aren’t arriving, it’s usually the phone number, a paused check-in, or carrier filtering. Here’s how to fix it.
If your loved one isn't getting their daily check-in, it's almost always one of a few simple things. Work through this checklist.
Quick checklist
- Check the phone number. Open the check-in and confirm the number is correct and current.
- Make sure it isn't paused. If you paused check-ins earlier, they stay off until you turn them back on.
- Check your plan. On the Free plan, calls pause once you reach the included minutes. Upgrading restores them.
- Texts not arriving? Some carriers occasionally filter automated texts. Confirm the number can receive texts and that messages from KinKeeper aren't blocked.
- Confirm the time and time zone. A check-in set in the wrong time zone can arrive at an unexpected hour.
