Why KinKeeper
Named for the person who holds a family together.
A kinkeeper is the person who remembers the birthdays, checks in, and keeps everyone connected. KinKeeper helps families return that care with practical protection for money, privacy, identity, and wellbeing.
Our name is a real word
The kinkeeper, and the handoff
Sociologists have a name for the person who holds a family together. In 1985, researcher Carolyn Rosenthal called her the “kinkeeper”: the one who remembers birthdays, plans holidays, checks on whoever is sick, and makes sure nobody drifts away.
Eventually, that role gets passed down. The parent or grandparent who kept everyone connected may need help spotting a strange transaction, removing exposed personal information, responding to an identity warning, or simply checking in each day. KinKeeper gives families a clearer way to help without taking over.
They kept the family together for forty years. Now it’s your turn — and you shouldn’t have to do it alone.
