When a call works best

Many older adults are most comfortable answering the phone. A call is warm and familiar, and it works on a landline or a basic cell phone.

When text works best

If your loved one texts comfortably, a daily text is quick and low-pressure. They reply with a simple confirmation and go about their day.

Using both

Some families prefer a text with a call as backup, so if the text isn't answered, KinKeeper follows up with a call.

Changing the channel

You can switch between call, text, or both at any time from your dashboard. The change takes effect at the next check-in.
